An Interesting Christmas

Being sick stinks.

Being sick on Christmas morning? That's just wrong.

My poor Adam spent most of his Christmas being treated in the ER for a horrible respiratory virus. Thankfully it was not the flu or RSV, but whatever it was still took a toll on his little lungs (and momma's sanity!).

Luckily the ER doctor and nurse were amazing and treated him like their own baby. They were super attentive, treated him quickly and even let him pull a red wagon around the entire ER floor once he was feeling better! We are so grateful for the excellent care we received!

We were sent home with enough time to play with some new toys and get ready for Christmas dinner at Aunt TT's.

Now Luke was amazing through this whole ordeal. Tom and I basically ran out of my inlaw's house at 9am for the ER with basically just a "we'll be back!" shout to Luke. He was in a room completely full of presents that he wasn't allowed to open until a) my inlaws figured out how long we would be gone and b) his cousins arrived. Parents and brother rushing out AND gifts you can't open!? Thankfully Aunt TT and Grandmom are amazing and took care of everything. I'm so proud of my big boy for being amazing.

We did manage to have fun even with our little sickie.

We left treats for the reindeer:

Santa left some awesome presents:

And we were able to spend great time with family and friends. We had a. Last when Nan and Gramps came to visit the day after Christmas too!

Thank you mom and dad for coming down and restoring some of our sanity!
