Golf - we play every morning when we wake up and everyday after school. Golf is usually what we watch before bedtime. The boy is obsessed with his Golf. It is wonderful to watch - the boy and his clubs, Daddy usually by his side. He gathers the golf balls and tees and places them just like so. Then he gets ready. He gets his glove on. He makes sure his hat is set on his head. And he SWINGS. With power! And aim. He is actually pretty good!
The park down the street has a small mini-golf course. Of course we must play every time we go now!

The Beach.
We have a beach boy. We knew this when he was only 3 months old. Even then he LOVED the beach. He slept through the night there. He took long naps in his stroller. He loved long walks with the sound of the waves crashing and the cool salt air blowing on his little cheeks.
Last year, at age 1, he loved it even more. He walked around like he owned the place. He had a gaggle of girls surrounding him at all times. He jumped the waves.
And now this year, at age 2, he is OBSESSED. He builds castles. He knocks them down. He jumps the waves (all by himself!). He grabs buckets of water from the ocean. And we were only there for 1 day! I can't wait to start our vacation in a few weeks and have 10 whole days with my boys - at the beach.
Tennis.
Tennis is getting close to Golf-like obsession. He has always liked the sport, don't get me wrong. It is either Golf or Tennis that we have to watch before bed (and an occasional "swing" (baseball) or "hoops" (basketball) or "horshies" (horse racing)). But lately, Tennis is making a move on Golf. I have photo evidence however the picture is refusing to upload....more to come on the love of Tennis.
Other Tidbits....
Stretching out - our little man is losing some of his baby fat! Many of his pants and shorts are too big around his waist now...even though they fit him a few months ago. He is growing like a weed - straight up!
We are still making progress in the food section. Favorites include green beans, peaches, pears, whole wheat pancakes, carrots, pizza, strawberries and "blue strawberries" (blueberries!).
Chicken is hit or miss....some days he loves other, others he refuses to eat it. But we'll keep trying!
Talking a blue streak. Luke has finally caught up to his girl counterparts. He is talking in full sentences. Non stop. He is always talking!
"Mommy, where Shane?" Luke, I think Shane's sleeping. "No Mommy, Shane is at Hockey Rink with Ry Ry."
"Luke go bye bye to Kim, Mommy go on choo-choo and Daddy Bye Bye" (Luke explaining what we were going to do after breakfast).
"Luke go shopping for milk, corn and snackies."
I LOVE IT!
Luke still plays with my hair before he falls asleep. I hope this never stops.
I still rock Luke to sleep every night - we sing 4-5 songs and then I lay him in his crib. He is now starting to sing with me - Twinkle Twinkle is his favorite.
Every morning when he wakes up he yells...."Mommy! I wake up!"
He still sleeps in a crib.
He still takes a paci at night time and nap on the weekends (he no longer uses it at school!).
He can count to 10 with help and knows the "L M N O P" part of the ABC's yet has trouble with the rest - aren't kids usually the opposite!?
Luke loves all things boy - trucks, dirt, balls, sports and running.
He loves his Nan, Gramps, Aunt Meghan, Uncle Jamie, Uncle Joe, Aunt TT, Uncle Greg, Aunt Gina (he says (JINE-A - hahah), Uncle Jimmy, Cousin JU-JU, Mum-Mum (but he wants us to call her Grandmom - when he tries to say it, it comes out Mum-Mum) and JaJee (Dzi-Dzi - Polish for Grandpop). He knows all of there names and constantly asks to call everyone.
Luke likes the word "No" A LOT. We are working on this.
He likes to WHINE. We are working on this.
He likes to throw himself on the ground when he is mad or doesn't get his way. He also has started to hit himself on the arm when he is mad.
We are working on this.
Age 26 months is wonderful, exciting, challenging, busy, fantastic, challenging, rewarding, amazing and challenging.
We wouldn't have it any other way!
