Tid bits

I absolutely love that the boys share a room. It has its challenges, but the little moments it creates are magical.

Like last night. Adam is still battling a cold and has been waking frequently to cough. During a rather long fussing/coughing/sniffling episode around 2am, Luke got up, walked over to the crib and started saying, what's wrong Adam? It's ok Adam. It's ok.

I saw this unfold on the video monitor. Be still heart!

I had to take yesterday off to address the lice issue. This horribly disgusting incident created a very special Lukie and Mommy day. We brought Adam to daycare and Daddy to work. We got our hair checked at the lice lifters salon (we are both lice free!! Sent home with all natural lice termination solutions just to be safe! We all now smell like roasted rosemary and olive oil potatoes!). We got coffee and bagels at wawa. We visited Daddy at work. We shopped for Adam's baptism party. We played in the yard. We picked up Adam and ate lunch at a restaurant (per Luke's request).
It was a wonderful and joyful day of awesome Mommy And Luke Time. Brought to you by lice. Sometimes you just have to sit back and let life happen.

Luke has mastered riding his bike (with training wheels that is!). He rides it every night. Helmet on his head, determination on his face. He pedals up the slight hill on our driveway with ease (we used to have to push him). He uses his breaks perfectly and gently. He just loves it. He does laps around the driveway. Up and down, up and down.
Then, when he is done riding, he gets of and golfs. Or rakes. Or shovels. Or plays baseball or basketball. All while wearing his helmet.
The helmet stays on.
It cracks me up to see this little helmeted head bouncing around the yard.

Adam is the happiest, most lovable baby.
He stops eating just to look up at me and smile.
He laughs when you change his diaper.
He giggles when you put him in the bath tub.
He smiles as soon as he wakes up in the morning and smiles at his last feeding at night.
He is perfection and I am so in love!
