Teddy

*one of my New Year's Resolutions for 2013 is to capture more of life's little moments.  they happen so quickly and I never want to forget these sweet little nuggets...

Last night before bath, Luke wanted to play with his diapers. 

(this happens occasionally...he likes to lay them out like he is going to change a baby.  sometimes he hides some in his crib.  he likes to lay them out all over the place.  not sure why he enjoys this...but it keeps him quiet while we draw his bath!)

As he started to lay out the diapers he asked if he pointed to his little blue teddy bear and asked if he could change him.  I said, "You want to change Teddy", to which he replied "Yes, Teddy have poops". 

So we got Teddy out of Luke's moses basket (from which he has sat since Luke transitioned to his crib!) and proceeded to change him.

He had me put a diaper on Teddy.

Then he said, "PU, Teddy poop!"

He carefully unfastened the diaper.

He exclaimed "EWWW YUCK TEDDY!!!" as he opened it. 

He gently wiped Teddy with 2 wipes.

Then he carefully tried to put a new diaper back on.

He asked for a "bag" to put the dirty wipes and diaper in and then proceeded to throw the bag in the trash.

He asked me to put PJs on Teddy.

He hugged Teddy during after-bath TV time.

He had to show Daddy how he changes Teddy. 

Then, this morning, he asked to change Teddy again...which apparently caused my boys to be late to school/work today.  Oh Teddy, always pooping at the wrong times - just like a real newborn!

Hopefully Luke will be this helpful when "baby brudder" arrives!
